NAACP 96th Annual Convention Mosaic Communications, Inc. surveyed a cross-section of delegates from the NAACP 96th Annual Convention in Milwaukee in July regarding their impression of the city. Their responses follow.
“I think your city is beautiful. Overall, I’m having a wonderful time. It’s a very clean city compared to New York and New Jersey. We went over to the waterfront and that was beautiful. The Milwaukee Theater is really wonderful and the architecture is really beautiful. I will come back to visit.”
“I have always liked Milwaukee. The city has grown in the last 20 years since I was last here. The hospitality is fantastic. The food is fabulous. Milwaukee is really nice and everybody has been lovely. I like your convention center.”
“We are enjoying ourselves. Milwaukee is a very pretty city. The people are friendly.”
“I love the weather here. People are cordial. Overall it has been a good convention.”
“We have to applaud the vision and execution performed by the Milwaukee branch (VISIT Milwaukee). I like the integration of the convention center and the hotels. The close proximity of the Milwaukee Theater is a huge plus, too. The weather is great and I also like the close proximity of the mall.”
“I’ve had a pleasant experience. One thing this town has done very well is that the stores downtown and restaurants have signage welcoming the NAACP. I’ve seen a lot of that. One thing I really like is that the convention center connects with the hotels.”
“We were greeted royally and it’s been years since we’ve had that kind of service. We’ve received great overall service since we’ve been here. The food has been delicious. We have enjoyed Milwaukee. I have never been here before. It did exceed my expectations.”
“This is my first time here. I really like the weather here and the convention has been very good. I was down at the RiverWalk and I really enjoyed that. People are very friendly here. We’ve visited several restaurants that we’ve enjoyed.”
“From what I’ve seen of Milwaukee, I really like it. It’s been a seamless convention for us and a wonderful experience.”
“The residents I’ve been in contact with have been friendly and well mannered. I have visited many places and many times you find people that are rude, but Milwaukee has some great people here.”
